Out of all the business meetings we attended, there are 3 that caught my eye the most. The first business that caught my eye was known as Brand South Africa. Brand South Africa was established in 2002 in order to help establish a positive image of South Africa. This was around the end of apartheid and of course many people did not know what to think of South Africa. Brand South Africa helps market South Africa through it's campaigns in order to attract tourism and investments. Africa is developing so it is definitely important to help market that and allow everyone to keep up with the paste at which they are growing.

The second business that I oh so loved is known as Olgivy & Mather. Olgivy & Mather is located in Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa. And little did I know, there is one in Atlanta, GA as well. Olgivy & Mather is a marketing agencies in South Africa. They operate in advertising, public relations and affairs, retail marketing, health care communications, digital, promotions and the list goes on. What makes them unique in South Africa is that companies like Volkswagen, use Olgivy & Mather to help come up with advertisements that discuss the issues going on in the community. Lastly, Eskom is a company that provides electricity to South Africa; however, the downside is that Eskom is a company strictly ran by the South African government. On the positive side, one way Eskom is involved in the community is by having students come in and learn a trade of some sort, or enhancing their skills and possibly offering jobs at the end of the course. They also host community events where students are able to come in and be innovative. They will be able to build things, communicate with others and possibly gain awareness of the skills they already have.
